Office Terms

Policies & Disclaimers

We maintain structured office practices to govern client confidentiality, financial commitments, and clinical-coaching boundaries.

Professional Boundary Policy

To protect professional boundaries and avoid conflicts of interest, Soulful Path does not provide psychotherapy/behavioral health services and career coaching services to the same individual at the same time. If an individual is receiving therapy through Soulful Path, that individual will be served in the role of therapy client. If the individual later decides that they would like to pursue career coaching services instead, the therapeutic relationship must first be appropriately concluded before coaching services may begin. Any transition from therapy to career coaching will be handled thoughtfully and in a manner that protects the client's well-being, continuity of care, and best interests. Likewise, individuals receiving career coaching services through Soulful Path will not simultaneously receive psychotherapy services through Soulful Path. This policy is intended to maintain clear professional roles, reduce the risk of dual relationships or conflicts of interest, and ensure that individuals receive services within appropriate ethical boundaries.

Website Privacy & Psychotherapy Disclaimers

Website Privacy Statement: Information provided on the Soulful Path website is intended for general educational and informational purposes and should not be considered individualized mental health, medical, legal, or other professional advice. Submitting a contact form, sending an email, following Soulful Path on social media, registering for an event, or purchasing a non-clinical service does not by itself establish a therapist-client relationship. The Soulful Path website and general contact methods should not be used for emergency or crisis situations.

Appointment Cancellation Window: Soulful Path understands that unexpected circumstances may arise. Clients are asked to provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, may be subject to a late cancellation or no-show fee. Emergency circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Specific therapy-related cancellation fees and insurance requirements will be provided as part of the client's informed consent and intake documentation.

Therapy Disclaimer: Psychotherapy and behavioral health services are professional clinical services provided within the provider's legal scope of practice and in accordance with applicable licensing requirements. Participation in therapy does not guarantee a particular clinical outcome. Therapy clients will receive additional informed-consent documentation outlining the nature of services, confidentiality, limitations of confidentiality, fees, telehealth practices, emergency procedures, and other clinical policies.

Good Faith Estimate: Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. You can ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule any service. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Terms of Service & Coaching Policies

Coaching Cancellation Window: Career coaching appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice without penalty. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment or missed appointments may result in the session being forfeited or a rescheduling fee being charged. Clients arriving late will receive the remaining time within their scheduled appointment unless otherwise arranged.

Package Validity & Expiry: Career coaching packages must be used within the timeframe provided at the time of purchase. Once a coaching package has begun, completed sessions and services already provided are non-refundable. Unused portions of a package may be considered for refund or credit on a case-by-case basis. Packages may not be transferred to another individual without prior approval from Soulful Path.

Resume & Individualized Document Work: Payment is required before work begins on resume development, resume refreshes, LinkedIn reviews, or other individualized professional-development services. Because these services involve customized work prepared specifically for the client, payments become non-refundable once work has begun. The number of revisions included with each service will be identified at the time of purchase. Requests beyond the included revision allowance may require an additional fee. Clients are responsible for providing accurate employment, educational, credentialing, and professional information. Soulful Path does not guarantee employment, interviews, promotions, salary increases, admission into educational programs, licensure, or other employment-related outcomes.

Coaching Disclaimer: Career coaching, workshops, speaking engagements, assessments, professional-development services, and educational resources provided by Soulful Path are not psychotherapy and are not a substitute for mental health treatment. Participation in career coaching does not establish a therapist-client relationship unless the individual has separately enrolled in behavioral health services. Soulful Path does not guarantee employment, promotion, admission, salary, licensure, or any specific professional outcome.

Speaking Engagement Rates & Travel terms

Scope & Adjustments: Speaking engagements, workshops, trainings, and organizational partnerships may require a deposit to reserve the requested date. Final pricing, payment schedules, cancellation terms, travel costs, and other requirements will be provided in the applicable service agreement or contract. Deposits may be non-refundable once preparation, customization, travel arrangements, or other work related to the engagement has begun. If Soulful Path must cancel an engagement and an alternate date cannot be agreed upon, payments made for services not provided will be refunded.
